Here are a couple shots from a recent Tron Concept shgoot. After seeing the trailer for the 2010 movie coming out, I had to try my hand at shooting some similar images, here are the first two done, came out pretty cool I think:

Fitness Surfing Shoot in Oceanside

Heres is a shot from a recent Fitness & Athletics shoot in Oceanside with model Stevie Marshalek:

Stevie was really great to work with, she is a personal trainer at 24 hour fitness, and is looking to start her own fitness & personal training business.

I’m really happy with how it turned out, and here are some behind the scenes shots of my set up, we actually shot Stevie on my patio tethered with 3 lights and a backdrop, and then I went and shot the Ocean waves a couple days later:

Fallbrook Sadie Hawkins Dance

We just shot the Fallbrook Sadie Hawkins High School Dance this last Saturday, we had a good time, and the students had some pretty cool costumes, their theme was “Rocking through the Decades”, a whole history of Rock & Roll thing, here is the poster we put together for their dance:

I had Serra come down from Portland to shoot with us, Serra does a great job working with the students & gets some great poses. I also had a couple photographers from the San Diego area come & work with us a bit, Mariam Bier and Holly Ireland, it was great meeting them & I’ll look forward to having them help us at our next dance.

Bad registrar experience

Come Feb. 1st my domain www.rocketsciencephotography.com was expiring, and would be needing to be renewed for the year, I’ve had that domain with the same registrar, solid-hosting.net since 2005. However when I went to contact them about renewing the domain, I received no reply or response from them. After receiving no reply, I decided to try transferring the domain to another registrar. But they would not, and have not replied to the new registrar’s request for authorization.

Now the domain is expired, and I have no way to contact them, and they won’t reply to the several emails & support tickets I’ve sent.

What do I do now??!!

Apparently I will not be able to use that domain anymore, great. I wonder how many people have lost their domain in a similar situation?

I highly recommend not doing business with solid-hosting.net and be sure to check out your domain registrar’s reviews before signing up with them, apparently its risky business.

And, rocketsciencephotography will be out of commission for the foreseeable future. I will continue to use my other domain, www.photogoose.com

Now as far as error messages go, I thought this was a good compilation on this blog:
